Virginia E. Zwolinski, 94, Wheeling, passed away January 17, 2017 in Barrington. She was born March 31, 1922 in Chicago to Lawrence and Wanda (nee Tylczynski) Smolecki.
Beloved wife of the late Michael C. Zwolinski; mother of Ronald (JoGail) and the late Barbara, Thomas (Laurie), Michael (Patricia); grandmother of Melinda, Michael (Hillary), Scott, Katie and Michelle; great grandmother of Emily and Landon; sister of the late Michael (Marie) Smolecki, Lewis (Augusta) Smolecki, Olga (Warren) Potts, Helen (Garnett) Moll, Raymond (Virginia) Smolecki; sister-in-law of Marion Smolecki and Florence (the late Joe) Zwolinski; and aunt of many loving and supportive nieces and nephews.
Virginia was an avid traveler and former active member at St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church, Prospect Heights, and Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Rosemont.
Visitation will be Friday, January 20, from 5 pm until 8 pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W Main St (Lake-Cook Rd), Barrington. Mass of the Christian Burial will be Saturday, January 21, at 10:30 am with a visitation starting at 9:30 am at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 Ela St (not Ela Rd), Barrington. Burial to follow at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
