Virginia "Ginny" (Petersen) Rebmann
October 25, 1937 — June 22, 2017
Ginny was born October 25, 1937 in Chicago to Carl and Margaret Petersen. She passed away peacefully June 22, 2017.
Ginny expressed her creative spirit throughout her life, studying dance and theatre at Illinois Weslyan, and becoming an accomplished painter in the Door County arts community. Above all, the love Ginny shared with her family and friends was a gift that continues to shine.
Ginny is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Robert; children, David (Holly) Rebmann, Laura (Bob) Shay, Julia (Tom) Jerome, Aimee Rebmann, and Elizabeth (Giuseppe) Rioni-Volpato; twelve grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother Robert Petersen; and sister, Judy Berger. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Richard.
Visitation will be 2pm until the funeral service at 5pm, Sunday, June 25 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington. Burial will be Monday, June 26th at Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington, IL
