Warren S. Jablonsky

Dr. Warren S. Jablonsky, 66, resident of Bonita Springs, Florida, and Fontana, Wisconsin, passed away August 17, 2025, after a bravely fought battle with melanoma.

Warren was born January 15, 1959, in Chicago, to his late parents, Anthony John and Patricia Jean (Mason) Jablonsky, and joined sisters, Mary and the late Susan. He was raised in Villa Park, Illinois, where he attended Willowbrook High School and spent his free time playing sports and pursuing his many interests. As a family, they enjoyed regular trips to Michigan, vacations to the Baseball and Hockey Halls of Fame, and a visit to Susan while abroad in Germany.

Warren attended St. Norbert College in DePere, Wisconsin, where he excelled academically while competing in hockey and soccer. More importantly, while there, Warren met the love of his life, Colleen M. (Sweeney) Jablonsky, in 1977. Warren and Colleen married in Hinsdale, Illinois, on July 8, 1984.

Warren initially began his career in the insurance industry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, however, after a change of heart, he decided (after some convincing to Colleen and his parents) he would pursue his passion of becoming an Orthopedic Surgeon. After eleven years in the Loyola Strict School of Medicine system and an additional year-long fellowship at CDH/Chicago Rush Medical Center, Warren and his partner, Dr. William D. Cox, opened their private practice, McHenry County Orthopedics (MCO) in Crystal Lake, Illinois, in 1994.

Warren is survived by Colleen, his loving wife of 41 years, their three accomplished children, Jack (Angela), Claire, and Tim (Sydney) and his sister, Mary. Warren enjoyed nothing more than time with his family and reflecting on photos of their many adventures throughout life. No matter his demanding schedule, Warren always prioritized his family. Whether preparing a Sunday BBQ, driving across the midwest for baseball and soccer games, shoveling hockey rinks on the pond, mixing a cocktail, or simply leaving a note every morning to remind them all to have a great day and that he loved them all truly.

Warren loved to be outdoors–whether biking in the summer heat or being on the water to take in the breathtaking sunsets. He spent countless hours reading, cooking, or simply enjoying the peace of a life well lived from the comfort of a deck.

Warren was the embodiment of integrity and high moral character. He exhibited kindness, passion, and patience that was evident to anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. His family will forever cherish knowing how fondly he is remembered not only by friends and family, but by his countless patients and colleagues for his numerous years of dedicated and passionate care. Warren will be deeply missed but always remembered as a physician, friend, father, and husband.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Davenport Family Funeral Home (419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, IL 60014) from 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., at which time a short nondenominational service will take place.
