William "Bill" Robert Daehler was born in Chicago, IL on December 1, 1964.
Although he was taken far too soon, he lived a rich life and made the most of the time he had with us. He coached more than 200 baseball, softball, basketball, and soccer teams for his seven children over 25 years. He loved traveling and visited five continents. He was a tremendously talented athlete and a devoted Cubs and Blackhawks fan. His practical demeanor, sense of humor, and passion for life will be sorely missed.
Bill is survived by his children aged 16-34: Bill, Kelley, Thomas, Maggie, Betsy, Noelle and Aubrey; children-in-law Anthony Gonzales, Danny Jimenez, Emily Daehler, and Laura Alcocer; grandchildren Scarlett Gonzales, Paige Daehler, and expected granddaughter baby Daehler-Jimenez; wife, Anne; mother, Barbara Daehler; siblings, Robert, Barbra, Jim, and Julie.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert William Daehler; and his beloved grandparents, Harold and Lorraine Daehler.
A visitation will be held 2 pm-6 pm on Sunday, January 8 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 941 S. Old Rand Road, Lake Zurich, IL. A second visitation will be held at 10 am on Monday, January 9 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 120 S. Ela Rd., Barrington, IL. A mass will follow at 11 am.
