William A. Piculas

William “Billy” A. Piculas, 58 years old and resident of Lake in the Hills, Illinois, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025, after a long courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones.

Billy was born on April 9, 1967, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Andrew and Panagiota “Pat” (nee Katsigiannis) Piculas. In 1981, the family moved to Crystal Lake, Illinois, and purchased Lakeview Restaurant in Crystal Lake, later changing the name to Andy’s Restaurant. Billy worked at the restaurant for many years until his father Andrew’s retirement, at which time the business was passed along to Billy and his sister Angie who became co-owners. During his many years at the restaurant, Billy met and made connections with many members of the community, becoming a well-known pillar.

An incredibly hardworking man, Billy loved his restaurant; it was his baby. He additionally will be remembered as a self-sufficient man, always known to solve a problem or fix anything. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles. Billy’s relatives and friends memorialize his strength, drawing inspiration from his courage. Another friend remembers Billy as “incredibly kind, smart, and funny”. To all, it was an honor to know him- he will be dearly missed by many.

Billy is survived by his loving siblings Louie Piculas and Angie (Peter) Angelos; special only nephew Angelo (Nicole) Angelos; great-niece Violet Angelos; great-nephew Andrew Angelos; many close friends, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, godchildren, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Panagiota “Pat” Piculas, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and other relatives.
