William "Bill" Becker Jr

William “Bill” Becker Jr. of Crystal Lake, IL, was a devoted husband, Father, Pop, brother, son and friend. He left this world suddenly on August 24, 2023 at the young age of 63. His family is shocked and deeply saddened.

Bill married the love of his life Lisa on August 13, 1983, just celebrating 40 years of marriage!

Bill was the son of William and Rosemary Becker. He grew up on the largest dairy farm in Illinois and this is where his hard work ethic was learned. He went on to start, run and operate a successful construction business for almost 40 years.

Bill had a passion for hunting. During season, he walked endless miles each day looking for shed antlers. He looked forward to his yearly hunting trips in Colorado. He enjoyed staying active and loved to be outside in the garden. In his time off of work, Bill and Lisa loved to travel.

His greatest joys were his grandchildren. He took an active role in their lives including walks to the park, lunch dates and trips to the ice cream shop. We could count on him to be there to greet Reese at the bus stop and he was thrilled when Trevor followed in his footsteps with loving everything about the outdoors, especially hunting.

Bill will be remembered for his hard work ethic and his ability to make you laugh. He was a jokester and always quick with a funny remark. He was a dependable man, someone you could always count on. He was generous and always willing to lend a helping hand.

Bill is survived by his loving wife Lisa, his daughter Kate (Timothy) Olson, his grandchildren Reese (6) and Trevor (4) Olson, his parents William and Rosemary Becker, his siblings Robert (Valerie) Becker, Theresa (Scott) Sounde, siblings through marriage Lori (Robert) Booker, Jeffrey (Janet) Lolli and many loved nieces, nephews and a great niece and nephews. Bill is preceded in death by his 5 angel babies and in-laws Lawrence and Phyllis Lolli.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2023 from 3pm until the time of Eulogy service at 7pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory 419 E Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake. A second visitation will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 10am until the time of the Funeral Service at 12pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Crystal Lake Memorial Park.
