William "Bill" Verzal

William C. Verzal Jr., “Bill”, passed away peacefully at the age of 90, on July 14,2022, at home with his family at his side.

Bill was born May 10,1932, in Milwaukee, WI, and was a graduate of Mesmer High School in 1951.   He served in the US Army at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, before embarking on a successful career in Mortgage Banking and Executive Employee Relocation. Bill was an avid golfer, enjoyed family vacations, and spending time & fishing with his grandchildren.  Other hobbies included reading, cooking, and entertaining family and friends.  He was also a passionate supporter of the Wisconsin Kidney Foundation.

Bill is survived by Janet Verzal, his wife of 69 years; children, Michael (Cathryn) Verzal, and Susan (David) Ryan. His grandchildren: David Verzal (Christina Johansen); Katherine (John) Inman; Joseph (Rhonda) Verzal, Daniel Ryan, and Casey Ryan.  His great grandchildren: Kaven, Jasmine, Hallie and Colton Inman; Alayna, Scarlett & Natalia Verzal.  He is also survived by his sister, Patricia Onestinghel.

Bill was preceded in death by his son Kevin Verzal, brother Robert Verzal, mother Rose (Quinn) and father William Verzal Sr.

Funeral Mass will be at 10am Friday July 22 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave (Route 176) Crystal Lake.
