Winifred “Louise” Valverde (nee Hazen), 79, of Huntley, formerly of Barrington and Ocala, FL, passed away May 16, 2014. She was born March 7, 1935 in LaFollette, TN. In 1956 she married John Valverde and together they enjoyed 57 years of marriage.
She was a very active golfer and was the president of Ocala Women’s Golf Association. She loved her community and served on many boards and charitable organizations in both Barrington and Ocala. Above all else Louise was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Besides her husband, Louise will be sadly missed by her four children, Katherine (Harvey) Greenberg, Tom (Kelly) Valverde, Elizabeth (Robert) Desmond, and Virginia (Todd) Kinker; grandchildren, Ashley, Sara, Mark, Madeline, Johnny, Matthew, Michael, Margaret, Clayton, Robert; siblings, Jimmy, Peachy, Lisa, and Sarita.
Memorial visitation will be Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 4-8pm at the Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W Main St (Lake Cook Rd) Barrington, IL 60010.
