Zachary "Zac" Richard Adam Pletz

Zachary “Zac” Richard Adam Pletz, 32., of McHenry, passed away unexpectedly on March 5, 2023. He was visiting with a friend on Saturday night and in the morning, his friend woke up and Zac didn’t. He was born on December 18, 1990 in McHenry, IL to John and Kathleen (nee Murrey) Pletz. He grew up in Crystal Lake, IL and considered Crystal Lake his home town.

Zac was definitely a free spirit. He loved the outdoors, he was a serious gamer, felt good about keeping his vehicles running and helping others. He traveled to the east coast, west coast, down to Florida and up to Canada.

In addition to his parents, Zac is survived by his siblings, Alexandra Sommers, (Dan), Jonathon Raymond Augustin Pletz, Matthew Thomas Michael Pletz, Angela Burns (John). His Aunt Carol Goebel; Uncle Ron and Linda Harand; Uncle Pat and Ginny Murrey; Many cousins and many nieces and nephews; And his many, many friends.

He was preceded in death by his Grandmas Lorraine and Loretta. Grandpas Tom, Rich and Herman. His Murrey Uncles Dave, Tommy, Greg. His Pletz Uncles Mike, Tom, Rich.

Visitation for Zac will be Tuesday, March 14, 2023 from 4 PM until 8 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Zac’s name may be made to a food pantry of your choice.
