Anna Mae Frech

Anna Mae Frech, age 96, of Barrington, formerly of Palatine and Mt. Prospect, born April 22, 1924 in Manlius, Illinois, died Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the JourneyCare Pepper Family Hospice Care Center in Barrington.

Mrs. Frech had been employed as a secondary school teacher, both full and part time, for many years. Later in life, she served as a volunteer with Northwest Community Hospital and other organizations. She frequently served as a volunteer librarian, reflecting a deep appreciation of books and learning that she passed on to her descendants. Anna Mae was much loved and will be greatly missed by her family.

Anna Mae was predeceased by her husband, Robert A. Frech, brother John Roger Behrens, as well as sisters Alice, Mary and Edna.

Survivors include sons, Bill (Susan) Frech of Lake Zurich, IL and Roger (Joyce) Frech of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Ben, Tracy and Greg; great-grandchildren Catherine, Maxwell, and Samantha; sisters Helen and Joanne.

Interment will be at a later date.
