Anne Michelle Hornagold

Anne Michelle Hornagold, 25, of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully at her home unexpectedly as a result of cardiac health complications on September 9, 2020.

True to Anne’s resilient and fighting spirit, she celebrated 8 years of sobriety, and she stayed true to her sobriety through the end. No substance or vice contributed to her death.

A creative spirit who brought color and joy to the world through teaching and advocating for children and their well-being, Anne was in the final stretch of receiving her teaching degree from Northern Illinois University. She looked forward to a bright future making a difference in the lives of her students.
You could often find her expressing her free-spirit and creativity through tie-dying, planting, travel, and art, but Anne’s most favorite place on Earth was to be dancing the night away at any Dave Matthews Band concert.

Her quick wit, sarcastic comments, and boisterous laugh will be missed by many.

Anne will be dearly missed by her parents, John and Sue Hornagold; her sister, Aimee (Paul) Muchie; her brother, Adam Hornagold; nieces, Lettie and Gemma, and many other family and friends.

In lieu of donations or flowers, we ask that you honor Anne’s loving soul by paying it forward to someone you know in need.

Due to COVID, services will be private. We as a family ask you to please take time to share your favorite memories, stories, and pictures of Anne on her tribute wall.
