Annette M. Collins

Annette M. Collins, 58, of Woodstock passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Lois Collins.

Annette married the love of her life, David Gay, on 6/30/07.   He preceded her in death in 2015.

Annette is survived by Jeremy (Nora) Dragon and Sarah Dragon, her stepchildren, along with her sister, Mary, and three nieces.  She also leaves behind her cherished dogs, Twila and Fergus.

Reading was a passion, and she was fortunate enough to be able to share it with her friends and students.  Annette’s position of reading interventionist at Jefferson Elementary inspired her students to achieve an enjoyment of reading. 

Annette was a phenomenal cook and shared many meals and recipes with friends.  She was a connoisseur of all cuisines and open to trying anything.  Annette had a wicked sense of humor that could make you laugh no matter the situation.  She will be greatly missed.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, December 18, from 4pm until the time of a service at 7pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.
