Davenport Crystal Lake

Beverly Ann Fiedler Bronowski, 89, of Algonquin, loving wife, caring, compassionate mother, beloved grandmother and dear friend passed away June 4, 2022 in Huntley at Northwestern Hospital. She was surrounded by her family and the amazing nursing staff of 5D.

Beverly was born 11/24/1932 in Chicago and grew up as the cherished daughter of Charlie W. and Dolly Spears Fiedler. As a child she spent many summers in Nova Scotia Canada with her mom’s family on their large dairy farm. She watched her loving grandmother Jemima (Amo) Langille Spears work very hard taking care of many while cooking meals over a wood stove. Her grandfather took her on the dairy milk route he had. Beverly worked hard and learned many lessons of life and treasured the time with them.

Beverly met the love of her life and Austin High School sweetheart Adrian C. Bronowski in Chicago and married January 26, 1952. They moved to Algonquin in the early 60’s and raised a wonderful family.

She is survived by her two daughters Kim Kohlmeyer (Robert) of Marengo, and Kathy Trebbi (Ron) of Ft. Lauderdale and her two grandaughters Ashley Roark (Sean) of Lexington, KY and Allison Trebbi of Ft. Lauderdale and nieces and nephews.

Beverly loved the outdoors, all animals--especially horses, horseback riding, bicycling, ice skating and cowboy stars Gene Autry and the Lone Ranger. She raised beloved German Sheppards and cherished cats including Teddy who survives her. She was a girl scout leader, a member of the Woman’s Club, devoted employee of  Zenith Radio, Toastmaster and Jewel Corp. She was a true artist--she oil painted and made beautiful hand crocheted and knitted items such as sweaters and afghans. She enjoyed the fascinating hobby of genealogy learning her roots as an early American colonist. She was a  great cook always collecting and trying new recipes. Beverly loved to watch movies and have treasured popcorn nights with her dear grandaughter Ashley. Many memories of girls' nights out with Kim and Ashley will be held close to their hearts.

A private Celebration of Life ceremony will be held.

Memorials may be made to the Helping Paws Society of McHenry County.
