Carol Saia

Carol Saia, 72, of Lake Zurich, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on January 24, 2022. She was born on June 12, 1949 in Chicago, IL to Norman and Mary Margaret Long.

Carol was united in marriage to Andrew Saia on February 14, 1986 and called Lake Zurich their home for the past 35 years.

Carol was a mother to all and with her magic touch of soothing any crying baby, she earned the nickname of “Baby Whisperer”. Carol’s greatest joys were her children and grandchildren, whom she loved and cherished dearly.

In addition to her loving husband, Carol will be deeply missed by her beloved children, Kristen Casteel, Adam (Jane) Tuckey and Andy Saia; cherished grandchildren, Arden, Stuart, Theo and Sam; dear siblings, Norman (Patti) Long, Linda (Dave) Anderson and Michael (Sandy) Long; special brother-in-law, Richard (Tessa) Pagano; her neighbors of 35 years; her Michigan family and by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Mary Kay Pagano.

Memorial visitation will be Friday, January 28,  2022 from 11:30 AM until the time of prayers at 2:30 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Old Rand Rd., Lake Zurich, IL 60047. A procession will immediately follow to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich for a 3 PM Funeral Mass. Interment will be private.
