Catherine A. Irons

Catherine A. Irons, 84, of Palatine, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 18, 2022. She was born on July 4, 1937 in Chicago, IL to Edmund and Bertha (Johnson) McCahill. She married Joseph Irons in Chicago on October 7th, 1961.

She will be remembered for her happy demeanor, commitment to her family and love of life.

Over her long life she loved gardening, traveling, socializing , the ocean and simply spending time with her family and many grandchildren.

Catherine will be deeply missed by her children, Joseph (Robin) Irons, Megan (Dean) Kopecky, Jennifer (Kevin) Lahey, and Thomas (Peggy) Irons; grandchildren, Janelle, Justin, Sarah, Daniel, Kate, Daniel, Taylor, James, Thomas, Christopher, and Robert; sister Patricia (McCahill) Springer. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph H Irons; Siblings Edmund McCahill, and John McCahill.

Services and interment will be held privately by the family.
