Christine Eugenia (Chmiel) Bermann

Christine Eugenia Bermann, 55, of Streamwood passed peacefully on January 20, 2022, at St. Alexius Hospital with her husband and brother by her side, after battling various ailments over the past couple of years.  She was born in Chicago on November 22, 1966, to the late Eugene and Josephine Chmiel.

After graduating St. Michael School in Chicago, she attended and graduated from Maria High School in 1984, and then Mundelein College in 1988.   Christine then worked for many years for Montgomery Ward where she met her husband, Todd.  Thereafter, she worked for many years in the legal and accounting fields.

On April 30, 1994, Chrissy married Todd.  They shared a heart for animals and loved the dogs they rescued - Kasie, Lucy, Gideon, and Rocky.  Woof woof.

Chrissy will be missed by her husband, Todd; brother, Michael (late Marie) Chmiel and their children, Michael, Jr., Jacqueline, and Christine; brother-in-law, Tim (Sally) Bermann and their son, Jon; brother-in-law, Toby Bermann; and her mother-in-law, Terry Bermann.

A visitation will be held Thursday, January 27, from 4pm until 8pm with prayers at 7pm, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake.

Visitation will continue at the funeral home Friday morning, January 28, from 8:30am until the time of prayers at 9:15am.  Mass will be at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, at 10:00am.
