Cole Stephen Kain, 58, of Cary, passed away unexpectedly at home on March 31, 2021. He was born on March 12, 1963 in Park Ridge to William and Dorothy (nee Fesus) Kain.
Cole’s CV includes graduation from Forest View High School, Arlington Heights, IL, in 1981. Graduation from the University of Iowa with an English degree. Cole attended John Marshal Law School (JD) and New York University (MS). Cole clerked for a Federal Judge in NY; worked at the office of the Inspector General of IL and numerous insurance firms.
Cole was an avid sports fan, especially Iowa Hawkeye football and the Chicago White Sox. He loved going to the lake house in northern Wisconsin for fishing with his family, reading and traveling.
Cole will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Lisa (nee Bieniasz); children, Harrison and Claudia Kain; his siblings, Craig (Diane), Chris (Trudy) and Brock (Liz) Kain; nieces and nephews, Sarah (Craig) Warren, Heather (Cody) Pritchett, Adam and Kyle Kain, Jessica and Reise Kain; and by many loving friends and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Visitation will be Wednesday, April 7, from 4 PM until 9 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W. Main Street (Lake-Cook Rd.) Barrington, IL 60010. Funeral Mass will be Thursday, April 8, at 10:30 AM at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 410 North First St., Cary, IL 60013. All are invited to go directly to church. Burial to follow at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery, Palatine.
The church will need a list of all attendees, please arrive 15- 20 minutes early to church to allow time to register. Social distancing and masks will be our shared practice at the funeral home and at church.
