Dennis Michael India, 74, passed away suddenly at his home in Barrington November 5, 2021. He was born October 29, 1947 in Chicago to Philip and Loretta (nee Randazzo) India, and was the oldest of four children.
He was called home too soon but God and our family in Heaven clearly have a plan for him and for us. He loved his family very much and through it all he was very proud of us and his legacy (especially his smart and beautiful granddaughters Juliette and Alexandra who are the twinkle in his eyes). His passing has left an enormous void in the family that only a man as passionate, fun-loving, traditional, witty, playful, tough, principled, unfiltered, devout, patriotic, and tolerant would leave. He was a loving man who enjoyed spending time with family and friends, building and fixing anything, family dinners, debate, opera music, dogs, Knights of Columbus, Alpha Beta Gamma Fraternity, DePaul basketball, the Chicago Cubs, cross word puzzles, playing baseball, football, and bowling.
Dennis is survived by his wife of nearly 49 years, Diane (nee Costantini); sons, Michael (Jessica) and Joseph India; granddaughters, Juliette and Alexandra India; and siblings, Donald (Carol) India, Daniel (Linda) India, and Dianne (John) Wenzl. He was preceded in death by his parents; aunts Rose Ropiak and Jennie Randazzo; and many extended family members and dear friends.
