Dona Claire French (nee Berg), age 91, passed away peacefully at home on July 13, 2021, with her loving family by her side.  She was born on June 10, 1930, in Wilmette, IL.

She loved laughing and a good joke.  Dona enjoyed traveling, her most memorable places being Eleuthera, Bahamas, Farmington, ME and Seattle, WA. Dona was thrilled when they buzzed the Seattle Needle from a sea plane.  She co-owned R. French Blacktop Paving Company in Northbrook and loved volunteering at Glenbrook Hospital.  Dona was very social and had many loving friends and acquaintances over the years.

Dona is survived by her loving children, Dorrea Fellman, Ryan (Stacy) French, and Ronald (Emily Kramer) French; grandchildren, Christina Small, Stenn Fellman, Zachary French, Tyler French, Anthony French-Ungaro, Ashley French, and Joshua French; beautiful great grandchildren; and brother, Howard Berg Jr.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert E. Lee French; son, Reid Lee French; parents, Howard and Vera Berg; sister, Carolyn; and son-in-law, Carl Fellman.

A graveside service for Dona will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, July 15th, at North Northfield Cemetery in Northbrook, IL

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christian Fellowship Church, 3419 Walkup Rd, Crystal Lake, IL 60012
