Doreen Linda (Foster) Lea

Doreen Linda (Foster) Lea passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022, at her home in Wonder Lake surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her wife, Linda Evert-Lea; sons, Trevor (Susan) and Travis (Jurita); grandchildren, Benjamin and Jennifer; her sister, Darcy (Robert) Wheeler; and many step-children and grandchildren.

Doreen was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Lyle Lea; sister, Diane Lee (nee Foster) Kling, and brothers, Ed Foster and Keith Foster.

Born in Geneva, IL on September 19, 1947, to King and Violet Foster, Doreen had four siblings, Diane, Darcy, Edward, and Keith.

She grew up in Wheaton, IL and graduated from Wheaton High School. She married her late husband, Carl, in August of 1966. Doreen worked as a bus driver for many years while raising her two children. After her husband passed in 2004, Doreen married Linda on August 16, 2014, with whom she spent her remaining years.

Doreen loved the outdoors, tractors, animals - horses, goats, sea turtles in particular - along with her dog, Cujie (Cute Josephine), and traveling.

Per Doreen’s wishes, no funeral service will be held. A memorial service will be planned for the summer.
