Dorothy E. Black, 90, of North Barrington, was born on January 24, 1930 and passed away suddenly on February 24, 2020. She was the loving wife of James Black for 58 years; beloved mother of James (Kim) Black and Jason Black; cherished grandmother of Christy (Charles) and TJ (Kelsey); dear great-grandmother of Sophia and Harrison; beloved sister of Joseph and Frank (Linda) Kasprzak; sister-in-law, Rita Kasprzak; aunt of many nieces and nephews; and friend of Jean, Sherry and Dixie. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Leo and Theodore; and sister, Angie. Dorothy will be remembered for her love of horses, birds and flowers. Dorothy was also a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Lake Zurich, IL for 55 years.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home, Lake Zurich. On Friday, visitation will continue at the funeral home from 1:30pm until prayers at 2:30pm before processing to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Rd., Lake Zurich, IL 60047 for her Mass at 3:00pm. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.
