Edward John Masterson

Edward John Masterson, age 77, of Barrington, IL, passed away on January 19th, 2023 surrounded by family. Beloved husband of Donna (Albrecht) Masterson; loving father of Chris (Katie) Masterson, Audra (Kevin) Powers, Jon (Ashley) Masterson; fond grandfather of Gavin, James, Emma, Caroline, Graham, Brooks and Lane; dear brother of Liz Hebson, Geege Masterson, Mary Welch, Jane Blair, Mike Masterson, and Sally Landri.

Ed was born on March 7, 1945 to Jim and Marcella Masterson in Glenview, IL. Ed attended Notre Dame High School and he went on to graduate from Georgetown University. After graduating and working for the family business, Ed and Donna opened Hackneys Restaurant in Lake Zurich in 1969 and went on to operate that location for nearly 49 years.

Services will be held at St. Anne Parish of Barrington on Tuesday, January 24. Visitation from 9-11 am with mass beginning at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the memory of Ed Masterson to the Cardiac Amyloidosis Research Program at foundation.nm.org.
