Frank Kolmar

Frank Kolmar, of Huntley, IL, 87, a retired auto mechanic of 45 years with Chrysler Corporation, passed away peacefully to his eternal reward on May 10, 2020.
He was born on March 5, 1933 in Yugoslavia to Sebastian Kolmar and Genoveva Kostolani.

The loving husband of Maria (Neuhaus), they entered into holy matrimony on January 22, 1955 and were married 65 years.  Frank and Maria raised two children:  George (Paulette) and Mary (Juergen).  Frank is the loving Grandfather of Christopher, Kara (Matthew), Eileen (Ryan), Adam, and Kaitlin, and the loving Great Grandfather of Lydia and Claire.

Throughout his career as an auto mechanic, Frank received many honors and awards for outstanding achievements.  Frank and Maria loved to travel and in their early retirement enjoyed eight cruises together.  Frank loved his family and wanted nothing more than to spend time together, especially holidays.  Frank enjoyed cooking with Maria and entertaining their family and many friends throughout the years.  He loved to garden, socialize, and play golf.  In September, 2000, he was  honored with a plaque for hitting a hole-in-one.

Services for Frank will be held privately on May 13, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Crystal Lake, IL.
