September 21, 1988 ~ January 22, 2023 (age 34) 34 Years Old
Frank Nunez, 34, of Crystal Lake passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023. Born on September 21, 1988, Frank lived every day to the fullest always making the people around him smile and feel loved.
A committed firefighter for the Itasca Fire Department, Frank was extremely motivated and a hard worker. Frank’s positive attitude stayed with him even until his last moments. Genuinely kind-hearted and compassionate, Frank was a supportive husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend who was wise beyond his years.
Frank was a true rarity and will be greatly missed by his wife, Christina Nunez; his twin sister, Mariela (Raymond, Jr.) Earhart; brother, Alex (Kate) Nunez; sister, Veronica (Julio) Rangel; nieces and nephews, Keanu, Aaliyah and Alyssa Rangel, and Raymond III and Michael Earhart; grandmother, Maria Del Refujio Chacon; along with his numerous Firefighter brothers and sisters, friends, and beloved dogs, Max and Otis.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Alejandro and Luz Nunez.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 27, from 12:00 noon until 8:00 pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Old Rand Road, Lake Zurich. A firefighter walk through will begin promptly at 6:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm.
Please note, this will be standing room only.We are anticipating a large crowd, so please plan accordingly.
Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 28, at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 551 N. Rush St., Itasca with a visitation to begin at 9:30 am.
Burial will follow at Dundee Township East Cemetery, East Dundee.
