Gladys (Cooper) Noble

Gladys Noble (nee Cooper), age 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 12, 2020.

Gladys was born in Fraserburgh, Scotland on March 5, 1938. She was a graduate of the College of Nursing in Aberdeen, Scotland and was a nurse at the St. Helier in the Channel Islands in the United Kingdom. Gladys loved music and dancing, especially ballroom dancing. She helped organize the Highland Games every summer and served on the board of Governors of the Scottish Home nursing home in North Riverside, IL. When she was in her early 60’s, Gladys completed the impressive feat of trekking the Annadurna Himalayn Trail. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Gladys is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, John G. Noble, M.D.; children, Susan Noble, Kevin and Julie Noble, Paul Noble and Lisa Dizon; grandchildren, Alec Noble, Connor Noble, Charlie Noble, William Noble, Malea Dizon, and Abe Noble; and sister-in-law Helen Cooper.

Preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Sarah Cooper; and brother, Gary Cooper.
