Irvin "Cotton" Werksman

Irvin “Cotton” Werksman, 89, of Barrington, passed away peacefully September 4, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene; their children: Mark, (wife Vicki) Ellen (husband Chuck) and Matthew; Grandchildren: Nate, Taralynne and Faye; Great Grandchildren: Noah, Nate Jr., Gianna, and Mason.

He served in the US Army, was a Korean War Veteran, and retired from Quaker Oats. He was also an icon in the custom-car building world and co-founder of the National Street Rod Association, (N.S.R.A.). In his retirement he was passionate about walking in the forest with family and friends.

Services and interment for Cotton will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Barrington Journey Care , Barrington Citizens for Conservation (CFC) and the Barrington Paramedics
