September 29, 1959 — August 4, 2022

Davenport Crystal Lake

Jill Stacy Ayares, 62, of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family after a long battle with cancer on August 4, 2022.

Jill was born on September 29, 1959 in Chicago, IL to Wayne and Nancy Campbell, who provided her with a childhood filled with many adventures along the Fox River. On August 9, 1980, Jill married Jay Ayares. Together, they celebrated 42 beautiful years and were blessed with 3 children and further blessed with 6 grandchildren. She loved to travel and was always up for new adventures, no matter how big or small. She also greatly enjoyed baking and gardening, and was always working on a variety of creative DIY projects. She met all of life's challenges with strength, courage, and grace. Everyone she encountered was instantly drawn to her silliness, quick wit, laughter, and warmth. Above all, Jill loved being with her family and friends, and was dedicated to making all their experiences, celebrations and time spent together magical.

In addition to her devoted husband, Jill is survived by her children, Josh (Wyndy), Jeremy (Sashire) and Jenna Ayares; grandchildren Logan Sorenson, Aiden, Arlo, Seneca and Nyah Ayares; her mother, Nancy Campbell; siblings Joy (Tony) Voyta, Jeff (Vickie) Campbell, Janine (Rod) Hammond, Linda (Bob) Ayares and Dave (Terri) Ayares; nieces and nephews Jarett Rudar, Jillian (Clark) Prinster, Amanda (Matt) Pospisil, Hannah Voyta, Mitch (Maris) Campbell, Allie Campbell, Brad Hammond, Brianne Hammond, Alicia (Corey) McCoy, Kaitlyn (Mike) Rogers and Michael (Natalie) Ayares; grand-nieces and -nephews; and by many loving friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Campbell; granddaughter, Hannah Sorenson; and her in-laws, Joe and Betty Ayares.

A celebration of Jill's life will be held on Saturday, September 17th, with an open visitation from 1-4pm at West Beach, 2330 Lake Ave., Crystal Lake, IL.  For the woman who worked tirelessly to create special moments for others, we hope to create this special moment just for her - for reminiscing and sharing any fond memories you might have!
