Kathleen "Kathy" M. Kraus

Kathleen Harris Kraus, 79, of Lake Barrington and The Villages, FL, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on November 12, 2020. She was born on October 15, 1941 in Milwaukee, WI to the late Greg and Dorothy Harris.

Kathy was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI and attended Dominican High School and Mount Mary College, where she earned a degree in elementary education. While in high school, Kathy met James on a blind date. They dated all through college and were united in marriage on June 6, 1964. Together they celebrated 56 wonderful years and 3 children.

She was an active member of Saint Anne Catholic Community in Barrington, where she was a member of the Sharing Board. She had a passion for gardening, golf, reading and painting. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.

Kathy was the loving wife of James; devoted mother of John W. (Jeneva) Kraus, Kerry (Patrick) Patterson and Laurie (Franck) Loquet; adoring Meme to McKenna, Kailey and Megan Patterson, Audrey Loquet and Shaday Peynado; loving sister of William (Gay) Kane Harris; cherished aunt of Greg Harris.

Memorial visitation will be held on Monday, November 23, from 10 AM until the time of her Funeral Mass at 11 AM at Saint Anne Catholic Community, 120 N. Ela St., Barrington. Interment will be private. Social distancing and masks will be our shared practice at church.
