Lisa J. Danielson

Lisa Danielson, age 40, of Crystal Lake and Woodstock, passed away from this life on November 2, 2019. She was born in Woodstock in 1979, the daughter of Betsy Helen Campbell and Hal Danielson. She attended Crystal Lake schools and graduated from high school in Apple Creek, Ohio. She lived in Ohio for many years and then Colorado before returning to Illinois in order to be closer to family.

Lisa will be remembered most of all for her ferocious belly laugh and quirky humor, her deep love of family, her ongoing spiritual quest, her love of Winston the bassett hound and her deep love for her daugther Summer . She struggled many years with mental health afflictions which she faced head on everyday. When those shadows were not clouding her life she was an affectionate ray of sunshine who quickly engaged the hearts of those who knew her.  Ultimately her illness took her from us far too soon but God has given her peace.

Lisa is survived by a very close knit family: mother and stepfather Betsy and Gary Campbell, (Crystal Lake), father Hal Danielson and Karen (Bailey, Colorado), maternal grandfather and stepgrandmother James and Jo Bidle, paternal grandparent Hal Danielson ( Colorado ), brother Ben Danielson (Denver), sister Christina Campbell (Chicago)and niece Natalia Danielson. She loved her aunts and Uncles,  Paula (Bud),Chris (Lynda), Holly (Ross) , Laurie (Brian), Jim (Patty), Vicki ( Jerry), Greg (Susie), Mary (Joe), Annie (Don ), and Steven (Chloe). She had an extended set of well-loved cousins. Her daughter, Summer, was the shining light of her life.

She was preceded in death by grandmothers Pat Lockwood and Betty Danielson and step-grandmother Patsy Campbell.

A memorial service will be held in the smaller chapel at First Congregtional Church, 461 Pierson St, Crystal Lake, at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 20th, 2019.
