Mary Lorraine Deacon

Mary Lorraine Deacon, 84 of Cary, was born on February 8, 1937 in Chicago to John and Bernice Lyons and passed away peacefully on October 22, 2021 at her home surrounded by family. Mary was the loving wife of William for 47 years; beloved mother of Michele (Mark) Shultz, Suzette Sanecki, Regina Shuflitowski, and Christina (Greg) Huffman; cherished grandmother of Teegan, Delaney, Carter, Maddy, Megan, and Jared; dear stepmother of Mary (Mark) Colby and William Jr. (Sandra); stepgrandmother of Jennifer (Tom) Wolf, Hillary Colby, and Katie Ruiz; great-grandmother of Riley, Caroline, and Isabelle. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Leonard Raymour; and brother, Joseph Lyons.

Those who knew Mary would describe her as loving, caring, and generous. She was a devoted wife and mother and had a deep faith in God. She loved her family, grandchildren, and all pets.

Mary will be remembered for her beautiful smile, kind eyes, and welcoming and loving spirit towards everyone she met.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 26 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, Crystal Lake. On Wednesday, October 27, a Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 410 First Street, Cary, IL 60013. Interment will follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum, Des Plaines, IL.
