Megan Diane Powers

August 19, 1993 — June 13, 2022

Davenport Lake Zurich

Megan Diane Powers entered the world on August 19, 1993 she seized the joy of life every day. The world is better because of Megan and she went to heaven on June 13. Her parents, Tom and Betsy (Lolli) Powers, were graced with her smile from the day she was born. Megan’s close relationship with her parents will leave a hole that can only be filled with the promise of eternal life. Her brother, Tommy, is her best friend. Megan and Tommy have a special bond as siblings which continues eternally.

Megan’s love of family continued with her extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins who shaped her life. Her grandparents, Francis “Frank" and Diane (Purcell) Lolli, Edward “Ted” and Lois (Kilroy) Powers were so close to her. Frank, Ted and Lois welcomed her into heaven with open arms and perhaps an Irish jig. Megan’s heart was all about helping people and including them. Megan Diane Powers is a woman of faith. She believes in God’s plan. She is strong. She is full of spunk and life — to have known Megan changed your live forever.

Megan’s legacy of love, happiness and joy continues on with her parents: Tom and Betsy Powers (Lake Barrington), her brother, Tommy (Fort Carson, Colorado) and her dog, Duke. Her grandmother, Diane Lolli, the late Frank Lolli, Ted and Lois Powers; aunts and uncles, Mary Lu Lolli (Keith) Robinson, Francis (Joni) Lolli, John (Leann) Lolli, Mary Ann ‘Powers' (Dave) Ligon, Kathy ‘Powers' (Chris) Ritz, Jeannie ‘Powers' (Marty) Van Hoesen, Edward “Teddy” Jr. (Chris) Powers, Lois ‘Powers' (Brian) Rosinski, Eileen ‘Powers' (Mike) Molitor, Maureen ‘Powers' (Bob) Nemmer, Sheila ‘Powers' (Al) Hurley, Peggy ‘Powers' (Steve) Molitor, and the late Ann and John Powers. Megan had more than 40 beloved cousins who will continue to honor her and what she accomplished. Megan called many other close family friends “aunt and uncle” they too are devastated she has left this world but are better for knowing her. Tom and Betsy would like to thank the heroes of healthcare — the nurses and doctor — of the University of Chicago who did everything possible to help Megan’s body heal. Betsy and Tom never left Megan’s bedside, along with Tommy.
