Michael Francis McGuiness

Michael Francis McGuiness, 64, of Deer Park, was born on October 26, 1956 in Charlotte, NC to the late Lee and the late Nancy McGuiness and passed away on July 13, 2021 with his family by his side. Mike is survived by his wife of 38 years, Maria; his children, Lauren (Alex) Stepien, Ryan McGuiness, and Brandon McGuiness; cherished Papa of Quinn and Blake; dear brother of Timothy McGuiness and Karen Gipson; step-son of Jane Ellen McGuiness; and friend of many. Mike was preceded in death by his brother, Patrick McGuiness.

Mike enjoyed hosting a party, a round of golf, a great steak, a good joke, and being Papa.

Those who knew Mike would say he worked as hard as he played.

A Visitation to celebrate Mike’s life will be held on Sunday, July 18 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm at the funeral home. On Monday, July 19, a Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am at Saint Anne Catholic Community, 120 N. Ela St., Barrington, IL. Luncheon to follow. Interment will be held privately for the family.
