Robert L. Kottke

Robert L.Kottke passed away peacefully July 15, 2020.  He was born September 22, 1975 in Elgin.

Robert will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, and son.  After a long and heroic fight Robert passed away in the loving arms of his dedicated and beloved wife, Detchee.  They cherished every moment together, sharing a life of devotion to one another.  He was passionate about the outdoors, loved bicycling and camping and always had a place in his heart for animals, especially when it came to his dogs.  Robert was well traveled and took every opportunity to explore the world.  Adventures in the Philippines with Detchee were his favorite.  Travels in the United States covered almost every state including highlights of Niagara Falls, Mackinac Island, Arizona, and Las Vegas.  For the past 10 years Robert worked as Vice President of Ralph Kottke and Sons Landscaping by his father’s side.

Robert is survived by his wife, Detchee; children, Aiya Mitch, and Kevin Jay; father, Ralph E. Kottke Sr.; and brother, Randy S (Michelle) Kottke.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Diane Kottke, and brother, Ralph E. Kottke Jr.  He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends, and co-workers.
