Robert L. Ramey

Robert L. Ramey, 89, of Deer Park, formerly of Lake Barrington Shores, passed away July 29, 2022.

He was born June 4, 1933 in Evanston, the son of the late Finus and Lillian (nee Harlamert) Ramey.

On June 23, 1956 Bob married Ann Taylor in Oshkosh, WI. They raised two daughters and lived many years in Lincolnshire before moving to Lake Barrington Shores in 1997. Bob was a graduate of Carlton College in Northfield, MN and worked for Washington National Insurance Company for 35 years in group insurance. Bob loved golfing, fishing, was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan, and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was especially proud of his grandchildren and great-grandchild.

Bob is survived by his daughters, Linda (Aleks) Matza and Lois (Michael) Reed; grandchildren, Mac (Jessica) Matza and Elyse Reed; great-granddaughter, Elena Ann; and brother, James (Donna) Ramey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Ann T. Ramey.

A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 9-11:00 a.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W Main St. (Lake-Cook Rd) Barrington. Inurnment will be held privately at Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington.
