Ronald Warren Anderson, a child of God, of Morton Grove passed away on July 13, 2020 after a two-year battle with dementia. He was born in Chicago, IL on July 7, 1932 to Oscar and Elizabeth (Gustafson) Anderson.
Ron and his wife Patsy were married on August 15, 1953, when Ron was 21 and Patsy was 19. Ron worked as an IBEW local union #134 electrician for 43 years before retiring at 62. He spent a majority of his life during the summer at his cottage in Algoma, WI, where he especially loved to play lumberjack and take trees down. He enjoyed going to antique tractor shows and thresherees.
Most importantly, he served the Lord in any way he could. Ron grew up in the church, was a follower of Jesus Christ, and in his passing, “We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:8, NKJV).
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Patsy Anderson (nee Ross); children, Steven (Linda Joy), Dean (Linda Jayne) Anderson, and Susan (Dennis) LeMay; grandchildren, Joshua (Beth), Jacqui (Cameron), Rebekah (Jon), Lauren (Andy), Michael (Laíza), Heather (Zach) and Daniel (C.J.); great-grandchildren, Aaron, Harper, Brooklyn, Allison, Elizabeth, Emily, Aria, Ginny, Courtney and Jordan.
A memorial service will be held, Saturday, August 15, 2020 (Ron and Pat’s 67th Wedding Anniversary) at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church-Sturgeon Bay, 610 N 5th Ave, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First Baptist Church-Sturgeon Bay.
