Stanley E. Dluzen

Stanley E. Dluzen, loving father of seven children, grandfather of 12, great-grandfather of 23, sadly passed away at the age of 90 years, on Monday, March 27, 2023.

He was born on November 19, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois to parents Anna and Roman Dluzen.

Stanley graduated from Foreman High School and participated in the ROTC Program. He went on to serve as an Army Sergeant in the Korean War as a Combat Construction Engineer Specialist and was Honorably Discharged.
Afterwards, he joined the Carpenters Union, Local 1185, Flooring Installation Division and was a Union Member for over 70 years. Stanley was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was diligent in completing the daily crossword puzzles and he played an awesome game of Scrabble. His hobbies included coin and stamp collecting, puzzles, metal detecting, and he was an avid fan of the CUBS!

One of his many endearing qualities was never forgetting to send a birthday or anniversary card.

Always an exemplary student during his school career, he carried this attitude of excellence throughout his working years, family life and retirement. He always set a high standard for his family and others to follow. Our dad treated everyone he met with respect and dignity. Stanley was a soft-spoken man, and a Quiet Hero always leading by example.

He was preceded in death by his mother Anna, father Roman, his sister Frances, his brother Edward and his daughter Jeanne Monaco.

Stanley is survived by his 2 daughters Frances (Terry Horner), Gerry (Norman Prorok) and 4 sons Fred (Judy), Frank (Janine), Edward (Carol) and Robert (Donna).

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 3 pm until 7 pm at Davenport Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Avenue, (Rt. 176) Crystal Lake, IL.
