Steven Joseph Pietrzak

Steven Joseph Pietrzak, 66, of South Barrington passed away peacefully at his home on March 21, 2020. He was born on January 17, 1954 in Evanston, IL to Joseph and Dorothy (nee Barg) Pietrzak.

Steve was a loving family man, an accomplished entrepreneur, an avid fisherman, devoted sports fan, had a great love for the outdoors, and was a man of faith. Nothing made Steve happier than spending time with his family. He was an amazing husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. He loved his wife Regina more than anything and was the biggest supporter of his children, never missing a dance recital or baseball game. One of the most cherished family memories was summer vacations to Green Lake. He started his own business in 1991 from his family home, successfully growing it into a national corporation which will celebrate its 29th anniversary this summer. Steve was respected and cherished by all of his employees, whom he considered a second family. Steve always looked forward to his annual fishing trip with his college buddies, which became even better when his son Matt was old enough to join.

Since childhood, Steve loved the Chicago Cubs and got to see one of his dreams come true when attending the World Series and watching them win. He loved the outdoors, especially gardening, bird watching, kayaking, and hiking. Throughout his life, Steve leaned on God for guidance and discernment, and his faith never wavered.

Steve will be deeply missed by his devoted wife of 30 years, Regina (nee Blevins) Pietrzak; loving children Ashley (Garrett), Brittany (Jack), Matt, and Bri; cherished sister Judy (Tom) and their children Matt, Billy (Lynette), Brian (Lauren), and Michael (Emily).

The family will be holding a private visitation on Saturday, March 28, 2020, from 10 AM until the funeral service at 11 AM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W. Main Street (Lake-Cook Rd) Barrington, IL 60010. Private interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will have a celebration of Steve’s life to share with friends and family in the near future.
