Private family farewell and/or witnessing of cremation (limited to 8 people). Includes washing, grooming, and other appropriate
preparation of the body. Please note that this service is available at the sole discretion of the funeral director and is not available
in all cases (e.g. trauma, autopsy, cases of disease or extended delay in viewing from the time of death). Embalming may be
required. Viewing will be conducted at the funeral home in a First Step Cremation Casket.


For a Private Farewell and/or Witnessing after 5 p.m., add an additional $200

We want this to be a positive experience for your family and we will do everything possible to make that happen.

If the private viewing evolves into a public visitation, you will be charged according to our General Price List.


Veterans Benefits and Requirements

We will assist your family in the following: coordinating Military Honors for funeral service, coordinating burial in a Veteran cemetery or other location, ordering of Presidential Memorial Certificates for your family members, and completing application for a Veteran marker. Transportation to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery is no additional cost.


Families must provide DD-214 discharge papers. 

Veteran benefits are available for eligible veterans who have been discharged or separated from active duty under conditions other than dishonorable, and have completed the required period of service. U.S. Armed Forces members who die on active duty are also eligible, as are spouses and dependent children of eligible living and deceased veterans, and of current and deceased armed forces members.
